Gionee Marathon M5 goes official outfitted with two batteries, each with 3010mAh
Along with the 6-inch Gionee Elife E8, the company unveiled another extraordinary smartphone at the event in Beijing – the Gionee Marathon M5. The smartphone sports more modest specs compared to its sibling. It has a 5.5-inch AMOLED display with 720p resolution. In the “belly” of the handset is working a quad-core silicon set at 1.3GHz with 2GB RAM. It runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop out-of-the-box.
The included native storage is 16GB. It is expandable via microSD cards. The Gionee Marathon M5 is outfitted with a 13MP primary camera and a 5MP snapper on the face panel. The model supports GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and 3G. The smartphone has one huge advantage before its rivals. It boasts double longer battery life … literally, because under the hood of Gionee Marathon M5 are tucked two batteries.
Each of them has a capacity of 3010mAh. This means that the capabilities of the cells of the mid-ranger are 6020mAh of juice. Gionee has managed to pack all the hardware of the device in just 8.5mm thick panel which is rather impressive. Marathon M5 is expected to hit the markets on June 25th at price of CNY 2299 (around $370) adorned in white. Is the battery life of the smartphone a deal-breaker for you? Share with us.
