The new mid-ranger Gionee Elife S Plus will land on the shelves of retailers this month
The launching of the mid-ranger Gionee S5.1 Pro is scheduled for this month. While we are waiting of the releasing of the smartphone, the Chinese manufacturer has just unveiled a bigger version of the S5.1 Pro dubbed Gionee Elife S Plus. The new addition of the company sports a similar design to its sibling. It is just 7.5 mm thick and has razor-thin side bezels.
It fascinates with a 5.5-inch AMOLED screen, 720p resolution, covered with Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The handset is powered by octa-core MediaTek MT6753 chip clocked at 1.3GHz in a configuration with Matli-T720 GPU and 3GB RAM. The platform pre-installed on the device is Android Lollipop with Amigo UI running on top of it.
Among the extraordinary features of Gionee Elife S Plus are Face Unlock and Immersive Touch. The storage assured on board is 16GB (expandable). The two cameras integrated in the mid-ranger are a 13MP rear snapper with a LED flash and a 5MP front-facing camera. The smartphone is a dual-SIM model. It works with a 3150mAh battery under the hood. Gionee Elife S Plus is LTE-enabled. The handset has USB Type-C port. It is getting launched later this month at a price of INR 16999 (around $260) off-contract in India.
