New teaser for Vivo X5 Pro reveals Eye ID
Vivo has the busiest time in the last weeks releasing teasers about its upcoming flagship Vivo X5 Pro. The smartphone is an object of numerous leaks and rumors that gave us some idea of its appearance and revealed some of its specs. There is still a lot of mystery around the flagship, but thanks to the newest teaser from Vivo, we already know that the phone will come with an extraordinary feature.
On the Chinese website Weibo, the manufacturer posted a photo of the Vivo X5 Pro along with the hint that it supports eye recognition technology (Eye ID). The purpose of this feature is to provide more advanced security of the smartphone compared to the fingerprint scanning. The Eye ID will work through scanning the iris of the user. Vivo revealed that the new tech will be used for general security of the device as well as for securing of certain apps.
If we sum up the revealed information in the leaks and teasers so far, we are anticipating a high-end smartphone made of metal. It sports a 3.5D curved glass. The processor working underneath is Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 chip. The cameras equipped in the Vivo X5 Pro are promising to be impressive. Rumors have it that the front-facing sensor will be able to snap 32MP photos. The main camera on the back is expected to have phase detection autofocus. The battery of Vivo X5 Pro is a 3500mAh cell.
