The camera-centric Kodak Ektra is getting released in the States

Back in October Kodak unveiled the Kodak Ektra smartphone with a 21MP main camera and abundance of features and capabilities. The company revealed its plans to relese the Ektra in North America if the phone grabs the interest of the audience. At CES 2017 Kodak revealed the news that the camera-centric Ektra is coming to the US.

The specs of the smartphone include a 5-inch display, 1080p resolution. It packs a deca-core MediaTek Helio X20 processor paired with 3GB RAM. The storage included in the smartphone is 32GB by default. Users can use the possibility to expand it via microSD cards. The Kodak Ektra is released with Android 6.0 Marshmallow on board.

The most significant feature of the new camera-centric smartphone is its 21MP primary camera. It has f/2.0 aperture, OIS, dual-LED flash and phase detection among other features. On the front panel is located a 13MP camera sensor with f/2.2 aperture. Along with the main camera, Kodak has included a special camera app for the model. It is provided with an SLR-style Scene Selection Dial with plenty of settings and modes to choose from. The Kodak Ektra was introduced in Europe in the end of 2016. This year it is getting launched in the US and Canada at price of $549. The phone is already available for pre-orders.
