The world’s first 7-inch smartphone BLU Studio 7.0 is official
Have you noticed how the size of the flagships of manufacturers from worldwide is growing rapidly with every new generation? Smartphones with 5.5-inch displays would be considered very large two years ago, but nowadays almost every high-end handset comes in a similar size. The trends for the tablets are for releasing small-sized slates and full-sized 12+ – inched devices. Frankly, it is becoming a bit difficult to diverse the very small tablets with cellular connectivity from the ultra-large phones. The newest device that is getting released as a smartphone, but has dimensions of a 7-inch tablet is BLU Studio 7.0.
The US manufacturer announced the device as “the world’s first 7-inch smartphone.” It is packed with a 7-inch screen with relatively low resolution of 600 x 1024p. In the gut of the phablet is ticking a dual-core 1.3GHz processor with MediaTek chip paired with 1GB RAM. The BLU Studio 7.0 is a low end device powered by Android 4.4.2 KitKat. The storage on board is 8GB accompanied by a slot for microSD for expansion.
The phablet features a 5MP rear camera as primary snapper. On the side with the screen of the handset is located a 2MP camera for video calls. The battery of the large phone is with a capacity of 3000mAh. It supports GSM, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS. The model is already released on Amazon for $149.99. It comes in gray, white, blue and gold color variants. The new device sports dimensions of 187.5 x 103 x 9.4mm and 294 grams of weight which is certainly heavy panel compared to the popular smartphones.
