Are you curious about the upcoming BlackBerry Venice? The Canadian OEM made the first hint for the existence of the extraordinary smartphone this spring at the big event MWC 2015 in Barcelona. Rumors and leaks about the BlackBerry Venice have been pouring in the tech world revealing more and more about the unique device. What is so special about the Venice? If we have to describe it in a few words, it is a slider smartphone that runs on Android and boasts powerful hardware and a beautiful design. Recent leaks with alleged render photos of the model appeared on the internet. The legendary leakster @evleaks shared more details about the unannounced model along with a new render and GIF image. There is a QWERTY keyboard in the smartphone. In fact the sliding mechanism is demonstrated in the GIF.
The panel of BlackBerry Venice is slightly curved. The diagonal of the display is 5.4-inch Quad HD. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 chip with 3GB RAM. The rumored camera on the back of the slider is a 16MP or 18MP sensor with dual LED flash, OIS and 6 lenses.
The platform running on BlackBerry Venice is expected to be Android 5.X Lollipop. Some of the new photos show popular apps running on the device, such as Google Play Store, the Android variant of BlackBerry Hub with Chromecast support etc. The new smartphone is coming to the US in November to all four major carriers, according to @evleaks. Users have hopes to see the extraordinary model presented at IFA 2015 in Berlin scheduled in few weeks from now. Stay tuned.
