Verizon is launching the Android-powered BlackBerry Priv for $720

The first Android-running smartphone of BlackBerry, the extraordinary BlackBerry Priv is landing on the shelves of Verizon Wireless. The carrier is offering the handset for $720 without a commitment. If you prefer the subsidized offers, you can get the BlackBerry Priv for $0 down payment and $30 monthly payments for 24 months. The unique smartphone has been on the market for some time now. A quick reminder of the specs of the Priv includes a 5.43-inch screen, 1440x2560p. The screen is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 4. The phone is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 chip with 3GB RAM. There are 32GB of native storage in the device along with a microSD slot for cards in case you prefer more memory.

The smartphone is the first Android-powered handset of BlackBerry. Rumors have it that the company is almost ready to present a second device running on the Google’s platform soon.
