BlackBerry Passport Silver Edition is announced
The Canadian OEM BlackBerry released a new variant of its extraordinary smartphone with square design, the BlackBerry Passport. The new model sports an eye-catching stainless steel shell with diamond pattern on the back plate. The BlackBerry Passport Silver Edition is now available for purchase in the US with more markets to be added to the list soon. The new color is not the only change in the flagship. The Passport Silver Edition boasts slightly different dimensions than the original device.
The first BlackBerry Passport is 128 x 90.3 x 9.3 mm big and weighs 196 grams. The new model is 131 x 90.5 x 9.25mm and weighs 205 grams. The difference probably won’t be noticeable by users. Apart from the “cosmetic” changes, the smartphone features the same specs as the original BlackBerry Passport. This means that it is armed with a 4.5-inch display, 1440x1440p resolution.
The processor is Snapdragon 801 with four cores 2.26GHz and 3GB RAM. The platform running on BlackBerry Passport Silver Edition is BlackBerry OS 10.3.2. It sports a 13MP snapper with LED flash and OIS on the back side. On the front lies a 2MP camera. The model is provided with 3450mAh cell. It is LTE-enabled. BlackBerry is selling the Silver Edition for $549 through its online store in the US. It supports limited LTE bands of some of the local carriers. The manufacturer is offering a sweet deal for buyers of the BlackBerry Silver Edition. If you purchase the device through 19th of August from the online store of BlackBerry you are getting accessories at a value of $130, such as Leather Flip Case, Sync Pod and Leather Flex Shell. The silver shell certainly makes the Passport more premium and attractive, don’t you think?
