The first BlackBerry-branded smartphone produced in Indonesia, BlackBerry Aurora is up-for-pre-orders
The Canadian OEM, BlackBerry entered a collaboration project BB Merah Putih for the producing and selling of the BlackBerry-branded devices in Indonesia. The first smartphone that is launching as a result of the collaboration is the BlackBerry Aurora. It is a 5.5-incher with 720p resolution of the screen. The handset is powered by the Google’s software, Android 7.0 Nougat with some authentic features on board, such as the BlackBerry Hub and the BlackBerry DTEK privacy app.
The BlackBerry Aurora is a full-touch smartphone. The processor that is ticking under the hood of the device is Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 with 4GB RAM. There are 32GB memory by default. The storage of the BlackBerry Aurora can be expanded via microSD cards. The primary camera of the new smartphone is a rear 13MP sensor. It has phase detection autofocus and a dual LED flash amongst other goodies. On the front side is placed the 8MP selfie camera.
The Aurora works with a 3000mAh battery that promises a long battery life of 20 hours for the device in normal use. The new handset is a dual-SIM model. It is exciting to see the first smartphone of BlackBerry manufactured in Indonesia. The price of the phone is IDR 3,499,000 ($262). It is up-for-pre-orders.
