Xiaomi Mi 4i is the newest mid-ranger of the Chinese manufacturer
Few days ago the Chinese manufacturer Xiaomi took the wraps off from a new smartphone named Xiaomi Mi 4i at a special event in India. In general, the handset is a budget variant of the Xiaomi Mi 4 flagship of the company that was made official last summer. The new smartphone resembles the appearance of the original model, however it is made from polycarbonate instead of premium materials.
Xiaomi Mi 4i sports a 5-inch Full HD OGS IPS screen. The pixel density is around 441ppi. Among the advantages of the display is the innovative tech Sunlight that makes it adaptive to brightness. With other words – the phone will be easy to use outdoors even in very sunny and bright days. Another company that integrates a similar tech in its devices is the Japanese mobile giant Sony. The internals of the Xiaomi Mi 4i consist of mid-ranged hardware. It is powered by octa-core 64-bit processor with Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 chip. The configuration includes quad-core set at 1.7GHz and another four cores working at 1.1GHz. The smartphone is packed with Adreno 405 GPU. It features 2GB RAM and 16GB storage by default. The pre-installed platform on the model is Android 5.0 Lollipop with MIUI 6 on top of it with extraordinary features, like the Interactive Voice Recognition among others.
The main camera of Xiaomi Mi 4i is with 13MP F/2.0 with dual LED flash. It is located on the back panel. On the front side lies a 5MP shooter with F/1.8 and different features for fulfilling user experience. The new addition of Xiaomi supports a rich diversity of connectivity features, like support for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and 4G. It is a dual-SIM smartphone. The battery equipped in the device is a 3120mAh cell.
Xioami Mi 4i comes in pink, black, yellow, white and blue colors. It is getting released in India on 30th of April for INR 12999 (around $205). The company is taking pre-orders for the model. It is still unknown whether the mid-ranger will be presented to more markets in future. Stay tuned.
