The Android Wear-powered smartwatch ASUS ZenWatch is offered in Google Play Store
ASUS ZenWatch debuted in the mobile arena few months ago. It is the first wearable tech of ASUS that joins the group of devices running on Android Wear. The timepiece is currently up-for-grabs in the US in the retailer Best Buy. The company shared the news that the smartwatch will land on the virtual shelves of Google Play Store soon. The ASUS ZenWatch is already listed in Google Play at price of $199 and status “Coming soon.” The stylish smartwatch is outfitted with a 1.63-inch AMOLED glass, 320x320p. It boasts a quad-core CPU 1.2GHz with Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 chipset.
The RAM assured in the gadget is 512MB. The native memory is 4GB. The battery of the ZenWatch is 1.4Wh. The device charges via microUSB. Among the extra features in the device are bio-sensor, 9 axis sensor. It is considered for one of the most stylish smartwatches released this year with an elegant design, with stainless steel finish and water-resistant body with IP55 certificate. The ZenWatch comes with a leather strap. It runs on the first OS developed for wearable tech, Android Wear. In the beginning of the year ASUS was among the manufacturers that confirmed they will release smartwatches running on the platform after Google makes it official.
Soon after the mobile giant introduced the Android Wear, ASUS joined the arena of wearable tech and took the wraps off from the ZenWatch. The price of $199 of the device makes it one of the most affordable smartwatches available today. The main competitors of the gadget are Sony SmartWatch 3, Motorola Moto 360, LG G Watch R and Samsung Gear Live.
