Asus Pegasus 2 Plus is officially introduced in China
Asus quietly unveiled a new impressive addition to the Pegasus family at the Phoenix Digital event in China. The smartphone is called Asus Pegasus 2 Plus. The newcomer resembles the appearance for the Asus ZenFone 2; however it comes in more premium shell with metal frame and CNC machining used for the manufacturing of the device. Pegasus 2 Plus features a 5.5-inch glass with a resolution of 1080 pixels.
Under the hood of the mid-ranger runs octa-core CPU with Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 chip. It is coupled with either 2GB RAM and 16GB native memory or 3GB RAM and 32GB storage. The newly announced smartphone runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop OS.
The Taiwanese manufacturer has customized it with Zen UI that brings some unique features, like the Smart Identity. The feature is used for searching the web on photos the user has captured. The two cameras equipped in the smartphone are a 13MP rear camera and a 8MP front-facing sensor. It is powered by a 3030mAh battery.
The exact launch date of the Pegasus 2 Plus is not revealed yet, but it is expected to land on the markets in the end of July or early August. The price of the device is 2000 yuan (around $323). It is coming in two colors – White and Rose Gold.
