Archos 50 Helium Plus and 55 Helium Plus go official outfitted with support for Cat.4 LTE
The French OEM Archos is revealing two new attractive and affordable handsets. Archos 50 Helium Plus and Archos 55 Helium Plus. The new couple mid-rangers have similar specs and capabilities. You have probably guessed already that 50 Helium Plus is the smaller device of both. It sports a 5-inch IPS screen with a resolution of 720p. The larger 55 Helium Plus sports a 5.5-inch IPS glass with 720p resolution.
The model processor that powers the smartphones is with four cores and 64-bit, with MediaTek MT6735P clocked at 1GHz and paired with 1GB RAM. The new handsets come with 8GB native memory and integrated slot for microSD cards. The larger device Archos 55 Helium Plus arrives with a microSD card with 16GB memory as part of the whole package. Software-wise the new additions of Archos are running on the newest update of the Google’s platform, Android 5.1 Lollipop pre-installed. Both smartphones are equipped with 13MP cameras on the rear panels with LED flash. On the front sides of the handsets lie 5MP cameras for video calls. The connectivity features that are supported by the mid-rangers are Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, 3G and Cat.4 LTE.
The wide range of connectivity possibilities are among the strengths of the new members of the Helium line, especially when we keep in mind the affordable prices they are offered at. The Archos 50 Helium Plus is up-for-grabs for $109. The Archos 55 Helium Plus can be yours for $139. The battery tucked under the hood of 50 Helium Plus is with a capacity of 2000mAh. The bigger new smartphone works with a 2400mAh cell. The launching of the new handsets will happen at some time in July. It is getting released in white and black.
