Apple unveiled two new variations of the Apple Watch Sport and the upcoming watchOS 2
Apple introduced a lot of new devices at its special event on 9th of September. What the company didn’t reveal was the successor of the Apple Watch. Keeping in mind that the timepiece is on the markets for only 6 months, it would surprising to see a new smartwatch from the mobile giant. For all the fans of the Apple Watch, Apple unveiled a few new variations of the wearable device. Soon users will be able to purchase two new anodized aluminum Apple Watch Sport smartwatches – in rose gold and gold. They will be offered in two sizes – 38mm and 42mm.
The price of the models will be $349 for the smaller and $399 for the larger timepiece. In addition, Apple outed the Apple Watch Hermes. It boasts a special Hermes watchface. The bands are made from hand-stitched leather. This special edition of the Apple Watch will go for sells in October. Apple unveiled new bands for the Apple Watch Sport – dark blue, green, orange, red, pink, green, white and blue, etc.
The watchOS 2 was presented as well. It brings abundance of new features to the platform. Some of them are the third-party complications that make it possible for non-Apple apps to include widgets to the watchface. The Apple Watch will be able to run native apps. One of the most important new features is the nightstand mode. The device will enter this mode while it is plugged in and it will display important things, like set alarms, time and the date. Apple will launch the watchOS 2 on 16th of September.
