Huawei officially unveiled the new flagship Huawei P8
Advanced technology and sophisticated design are the words that Huawei choses to describe its newest high-end flagship unveiled in the tech world –the Huawei P8. The Android-powered gladiator in the mobile arena seems to have it all – a premium design with ultra-thin panel, a powerful processor and hardware, capable and modern software and an amazing camera among other extras. The rumors and leaks about the first smartphone of the new “P” line were teasing users for weeks, giving the hints that a new outstanding device will debut on the markets.
So what is so special about the Huawei P8? The manufacturer presented the smartphone at a special event in London along with the quite large Huawei P8max. Huawei P8 sports a full-metal panel with stylish design and ultra-thin bezels. It is made from premium materials – crafted aluminum for the entire body apart from its predecessors made from glass and metal. Huawei P8 is splashproof and tough against damage thanks to the unique nano-coating of the panel.
The smartphone is only 6.4mm thick which makes it a very compact device that is easy to hold and to work with. The screen of the flagship is IPS 5.2-inch at diagonal and 1080p resolution. On the inside of the Huawei P8 is working an octa-core silicon with Kirin 935 chip and 3GB RAM. It supports SIM 2 slot and microSD cards, and comes with either 16GB or 64GB native storage assured out-of-the-box.
The new smartphone arrives with Android 5.0 Lollipop working below the Emotion UI 3.1. One of the interesting capabilities of the Huawei P8 is the possibility to use our knuckles for interacting with the touchscreen. There are a lot of things that are impressive about the smartphone. The feature that Huawei is the most proud of is the main camera of the flagship. It is a 13MP “the world’s first four-color RGWB sensor” that improves the performance of the camera in environment with low light. In addition the camera boasts OIS. Part of the hardware behind the camera is a dedicated image processor that assures DSLR quality of pictures.
The capabilities for video-recording of the camera are relatively modest. It captures 1080p video. The front-facing snapper is with 8MP. Huawei P8 is outfitted with two antennas (Signal+ tech). It has two SIM slots – one of them is nanoSIM/microSD. The flagship supports 4G LTE. The battery of the Huawei P8 can keep the phone running for 1.5 days before it needs recharging. It has a capacity of 2680mAh. Huawei is releasing the smartphone internationally. The 16GB variant costs €499, while the flagship packed with 64GB will be offered for €599. The available colors are Prestige Gold, Carbon Black, Mystic Champagne and Titanium Gray.
